About Successful-Therapist.com

Hello, I'm Gail Parker, the founder of Successful-Therapist.com.

There are two threads to the story of how Successful-Therapist came to be. One is about website development and the other is about therapy.

Website Development Background

I've been developing websites since 1996 and have over two decades of experience developing computer-based products for a variety of industries. For many years I did business as "Cyberglitz" and you can see my original website at www.cyberglitz.com.

In 2004 I came to grips with the fact that my interest in my clients went way beyond merely designing and building them websites. My goal and my passion is to actually make my clients successful. That has been my primary focus ever since.

Therapy Background

Back in the mid 80's I enrolled in the Masters degree program in Transpersonal Psychology at John F. Kennedy University in Orinda, California. I completed nearly all of the courses in the program before deciding not to become a therapist.

I have always considered that education one of the best investments I ever made. I am a very different person living a very different life as a result of that grounding in therapeutic wisdom and skill.

When I read the book "The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People" I was particularly intrigued by Covey's concept of "Win-Win or No Deal". That is the essence of my business passion, but the skills necessary to make business really work that way have their roots in my education as a therapist at JFK University.

Successful-Therapist

By now it is probably quite evident why "Successful-Therapist" was the obvious choice to name the business I've built to help therapists be more successful! I learned what a need there is for truly effective websites for therapists when my dear friend Sally Clark (who graduated from the same Transpersonal Psychology program I attended) came to me for a website.

Working with Sally was such a delight that I knew for certain I wanted to specialize in websites that help therapists grow the practice they want.

That's about as Win-Win as it gets.

I hope I'll have the opportunity to help you realize your dreams as a successful therapist.
