The Website Creation Process

Individual requirements vary, so the following walk through the development of a website will give you some idea of what your budget options are at each step of the process.

Step 1: Decide what kind of website you want.

Look at a lot of websites and develop your taste for colors, look & feel, symbols & metaphors. Take a look at templates. Perhaps one of them meets your requirements. If you favor a custom design you'll want to educate your taste and evolve a sense of the style you prefer.

Step 2: Write text for each of your website pages

It is very important to get your text right. You'll learn a lot about that on our home page and the links above under Step 1.

Step 4: Logo and branding

Whether you elect a Bronze, Silver, Gold or Crystal website design you will want a logo that represents the essence of your therapeutic vision. You may want additional "branding" elements such as a tagline, some consistent graphic elements, and a characteristic color scheme.

Budget Options:

Do It Yourself: You could use a free logo if you are really strapped for funds, or design your own at a site that offers free tools. Try Googling 'design your own logo' or 'cheap logos' or 'free logos' for options. Be aware of the limitations of these solutions. One day you may hand your card to a therapist colleague and be embarrassed to discover that she has the same logo you do.

Hire Us:You may want to have us design a custom logo that represents your unique identity as a therapist or select one of our pre-designed logos. We can help with branding through consultation or website design.

Step 5: Professional website design

It is important to have a professional-looking website design that you can feel proud of. Most of your prospective clients are web savvy and can recognize the difference between "tacky" and "professional."
